LANSING – The Unadilla Valley Lady Storm Soccer Club saw their season come to an end on Friday afternoon after the host and higher-seeded Lansing Bobcats topped the team from Chenango County 4-0.

“Lansing is young but quick and talented,” said UV’s head coach Jeanine Potter. “They shut down our offense on the left side, making it tough to put shots on goal.”

The home Bobcats held the Lady Storm to a total of five shots for the game. Offensively, Lansing fired 13 attempts at Unadilla Valley’s senior keeper Meegan White.

White, who played her final game on the pitch in a Storm uniform, came away with a total of nine saves – some of which her head coach said were great.

All four goals scored by Lansing were by different players as Gwen Gisler, Abbie Jones, Lulani Haslinger and Corinna Petrich saw their shots reach the back of the net. The Bobcats scored just one in the first half of play but found the goal three times in the second.

Despite the host team scoring four, Potter stated her girls didn’t show any signs of slowing down after shaking off the the slow start.
