Norwich man charged following recent car theft

NORWICH – A Norwich man was charged with grand larceny in the Town of Guilford yesterday after police said he stole a Honda Accord from a victim in the City of Norwich.


Damion Spicer, 23, of Norwich was charged with third-degree grand larceny after allegedly stealing a vehicle silver 2009 Honda Accord.


According to Norwich Police Department Detective Sergeant Reuben Roach, the arrest came yesterday afternoon with the help of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and the public.


“Through a coordinated investigation with the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, and with the help of the public; we were able to take Damion Spicer into custody while he was in the Town of Guilford yesterday afternoon,” said Roach. “The vehicle was recovered.”
