Emmanuel Episcopal Church to present concert
NORWICH – The Emmanuel Episcopal Church will host a musical concert with monologues from wartime plays, and it is open to the public.
The concert will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, at 37 West Main Street in Norwich.
According to event organizers, church organist Claudia Kachmarik will perform several organ selections on the 1930 Skinner organ, including, “A Salute to the Armed Forces,” medley.
Organizers said also highlighted will be monologues from the play, “War, What Was It For,” from regional author, Judith Present.
Organizers added that the stories are based on actual people, from their journals and letters.
They said anyone is welcome to enjoy the concert, which is dedicated towards honoring those who serve and have served.
