SHERBURNE – Chenango SPCA and Gilligan’s Ice Cream have teamed up to create what they consider a dog’s perfect treat.
According to representatives from the Chenango SPCA in Norwich and Gilligan’s Ice Cream in Sherburne, they have teamed up to create an ice cream that will have area dogs wagging tails in approval.
Chenango SPCA will be selling pints of Gilligan’s Ice Cream to raise money for the SPCA. In addition to Gilligan’s popular flavors including Black Raspberry, Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Cup, Mint Chip, and Cotton Candy; the SPCA will be selling a new creation, peanut butter canine crunch, a vanilla based ice cream with peanut butter and milk bone dog biscuits.
“This is a great opportunity to enjoy some delicious ice cream and help the animals of the Chenango SPCA,” said Jena Monroe, volunteer coordinator at the SPCA.
Representatives said pints of ice cream can be ordered from the SPCA starting Friday November 15 and ending on December 7.
“Gilligan’s Ice Cream is happy to collaborate with the Chenango SPCA on this unique fundraiser and hopes in addition to raising money for the SPCA it will bring more awareness and hopefully more adoptions of their dogs and cats,” said Gilligan’s Ice Cream Representative Andy Lagoe. “We love that we are able to expand, with Gilligan’s partnership, to the Sherburne community.”

Ordered pints will be available to pickup on December 17th at the Chenango SPCA, 6160 County Road 32 in Norwich, New York. Pints are $7 each and $3 of every pint will be donated back to the SPCA.
