NORWICH – On December 11, Nina's will be hosting their 4th annual Dinner and Movie event to benefit Toys for Tots at the Colonia Theater in Norwich.

Dinner begins at 4 p.m. in the event room above the Colonia. Then at 6:30 p.m. families will make their way down to the theater to watch the recently released box office hit, Frozen 2. Cost of entry for the event is a new toy and seven dollar donation that covers the dinner and movie. All proceeds from the event go directly to supporting Toys for Tots.

There will be lots of photo opportunities for kids. Volunteers will be dressed up as Frozen 2 characters Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf. Mister and Misses Clause will also be stopping by to take pictures.

Starting four years ago as just a community spaghetti dinner, the event has been transformed thanks to event coordinator Lon Yerton.

“This year I decided lets see if we can go bigger, lets try and get Frozen 2, a brand new movie. So I had to raise some money through the businesses. NBT and Sidney Federal pitched in some. And then I went out myself with some of business friends and some of my personal friends that support me with my ideas and think I do a great job for the community with this event and I managed to raise the $2,500 that I needed to get the movie. In four days time I raised it.” said Yerton.
