NORWICH – At last night’s Norwich School Board meeting, Interim Superintendent Diana Bowers gave an update on the bill that, if passed, will release $850,000 to the school.
"I wanted to share with the community that we've had a bill that was written and is now sitting on the floor of the assembly in the senate from Senator Akshar and Assemblyman Crouch to help us release some funds." said Bowers.
Bowers said the money is building aid that was set aside due to untimely reports being submitted to the state from the school for the past three years.
She also spoke with the schools union representative from New York State United Teachers, who are able to support the bill, giving it a greater chance of being passed.
