Garage in Norwich suffers significant fire damage

NORWICH - A garage fire in Norwich was extinguished before the flames could reach the home it was attached to, but fire department officials say the garage received significant damage.

“The call came in at 6:51 yesterday morning, and it came in as a house fire,” said Papelino. “The first unit got there and reported heavy smoke.”

“We could barely see due to the significant amount of smoke, fortunately the fire was mostly contained in the garage area.”
