Commerce Chenango hosts third lunch and learn seminar

CHENANGO COUNTY - Commerce Chenango held its third virtual lunch and learn seminar Thursday afternoon with several more planned for the upcoming weeks.


According to Commerce Chenango President and CEO Kerri Green, Lunch and Learn is a weekly seminar that is focused around helping people deal with the struggles related to the coronavirus, with conversation topics being based on community feedback.


Green said at noon on Thursday, April 30th, several local leaders will lead a discussion on maintaining a work and home life balance. She said the discussion will cover time management, goal setting, nutrition, and mental health and wellness for working from home.

“The seminars have been going really well, we’ve had anywhere between 15 and 30 people attend depending on the topic,” said Green on Thursday. “Today’s lunch and learn was presented by Hinman, Howard, and Kattell and there was discussion about topics including safety guidelines for people working from home, federal and state paid leave, and the WARN Act.”

“The next lunch and learn will cover some great topics including goal setting, working from home, and nutrition,” she said. “We’re making these seminars a way to give people some fun tips and tricks on dealing with the pandemic.”
