Vacant Norwich house on Guernsey Street torn down following fire

NORWICH - A vacant home on Guernsey Street was torn down on Friday after sustaining structural damage from a fire earlier this week.
According to City of Norwich Fire Department Chief Jan Papelino, at 2:52 a.m. on Tuesday, there was a 911 call that a house and tree at 37 Guernsey Street were on fire.
Papelino said the fire caused significant damage to the building, requiring that it be torn down.

Yet the building on Mitchel St. is still there !! This is unacceptable tear it down so you can make more WELFARE housing and ease the burden on the landlords. Who aren't getting paid enough for rent, if at all, to cover their taxes and losses from damages from these fine upstanding citizens living off the system.
