City looks to take action after speeding complaints increase for downtown Norwich

NORWICH – At the Tuesday night City of Norwich common council meeting, multiple aldermen reported complaints from residents about cars speeding through city streets.


"I've received reports of Silver Street being like a raceway. They're not stopping at stop signs, they're racing right through it," said Alderwoman Linda Kays-Biviano.


Alderman David Zeino also received complaints from concerned residents.


"I also had a compliant about traffic speeding on Mitchell Street. I've referred that to the police department and they will be taking action," said Zeino.
