GREENE – The Greene Labor Day Committee hosted the 101st annual Greene Labor Day Picnic over the weekend with events that kept everyone socially distanced and safe.
The event was sponsored by the Green Lions Club.
On Saturday chalk was set out around Moore Memorial Library for community members to decorate the sidewalks. The plan for the evening was a free drive-in movie, "Mary Poppins Returns" played on the Ball Flats. Due to inclement weather, it was postponed to an undetermined date.
On Labor Day, the town first celebrated with a car cruise. Classic cars drove through North and South Chenango Street and Canal Street.
