Monday Evening Music Club to present Jason Handy virtual recital

NORWICH – Monday Evening Music Club, celebrating its 110th year, will present a virtual recital featuring local pianist and Norwich native Jason Handy.

The performance will stream on the MEMC Facebook page on Monday, November 2nd at 7 p.m. (Facebook.com/MondayEveningMusicClub). The concert is free to watch, and the club welcomes free will donations to help fund music scholarships to local Chenango County students.

Viewers can donate via Paypal at memcscholarship@gmail.com, or they can mail a check to: MEMC, c/o Dianne Lewis, PO Box 895, Oxford, NY 13830. Handy is an accomplished classical pianist residing in Norwich, where he maintains an active studio of private piano students and is the Music Ministry Associate at the United Church of Christ, First Congregational in Norwich.

He will be performing works by Mozart, Chopin, Gershwin, and more. Audiences can also enjoy last month’s concert featuring Smyrna native Matt Nakoa, which is still available to view on the MEMC Facebook page.
