Quilts of Honor presentation at Oxford American Legion

OXFORD – The traditional “Eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month,” Veterans Day observance was not held like usual at Fort Hill American Legion Post #376 due to the pandemic.
There was, however, a small private ceremony for a few members. A quilt presentation was a highlight.
The One Stitch at a Time volunteers have created honorary quilts for Korean Conflict veterans of Post 376; part of the Quilts of Honor Program. One of those veterans was Cora Swartout. Cora served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Cora is a Life Member of Post 376 and has been a Legion member for 56 years.
