City of Norwich Mayor confirms he will not be seeking re-election

NORWICH – The City of Norwich Mayor confirmed at Tuesday night’s common council meeting that he will not be seeking re-election.

At the end of the meeting City of Norwich Mayor Shawn Sastri announced that he had been thinking a lot about the future election for mayor, and that he wouldn’t be participating.

“Just one thing before we enter executive session,” said Sastri. “I’ve been thinking a lot about my re-election, and I just wanted to let the council know, I will not be seeking re-election.”

“I would be willing to sit down with any of you and talk about it, but I just wanted to let you know I would not be seeking re-election.”
