GREENE – Greene's offense came alive in a big way.
Coming off a shutout loss in their opener against Windsor, the Trojans boys' soccer team found the opponent's goal in bunches blowing out Delhi 8-0 on Monday night, and blanking Norwich this past Friday, 4-0.
"I will say the team is coming together," said Greene coach Rick Tallman. "During an unusual season with little practice time and space, I'm proud of these boys."
Terriek Brown had a hat trick for the Trojans (2-1), Jonny Lee tallied twice, while Scout McCumiskey and Trent Rapp each had one goal and one assist.
Friday night at Norwich, the Trojans figured out the Purple Tornado defense in the second half expanding on a one-goal lead with three second-half insurance goals.
McCumiskey, whose grandfather John McCumiskey was a longtime coach of Norwich, added two more goals to lead his team's offense.
Luke Dejager and Cooper Klumpp also found the net for Greene.
"Our seniors are showing leadership, and they're answering the call despite a non-ideal season for them," Tallman said.
The Trojans are slated to host Susquehanna Valley on Thursday.
