Norwich man charged with promoting child pornography

NORWICH – A Norwich man is facing felony charges after allegedly promoting child pornography.

According to New York State Police Troop C Public Information Officer Aga Dembinska, Charles A. Rowe, 43, of Norwich was charged with promoting the sexual performance of a child, and possessing a sexual performance by a child following an investigation in the City of Norwich.

“Rowe is charged with possessing and promoting images consistent with child pornography via the internet,” said Dembinska. “He was arrested following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.”

“Rowe was arraigned virtually and remanded to the Chenango County Jail.”
