Tornado top Saints on Senior Night

NORWICH – It was a perfect day on the pitch for the Norwich High School girls’ varsity soccer team as they trounced the Seton Catholic Saints 10-3 at home on senior night to pick up their third win of the season so far.

After scoring a lone goal in their latest outing, the Purple Tornado got some nice shots on goal in this contest as the game leaned in Norwich’s favor from the get-go.

It was an all-out Norwich offensive from the start as Maddie Stafford, MacKenzie Hess and Taylor McCarthy each scored one goal apiece to pace the Purple’s first half performance. Notably, Norwich Head Coach Doug Coggins contributed the quick opening half goals for the Tornado from the “big time pressure” on Seton’s front-line from Sara Davis and Taylor McCarthy to mitigate any offensive action from the Saints.
