BOYS' SOCCER: Greene closes week with back-to-back wins

AFTON – With one week remaining in the Fall 2 sports season, Greene's boys' soccer team is picking up momentum.

The Trojans closed out their week with a second straight victory beating Afton-Harpursville, 3-1, on Thursday afternoon.

"This season has definitely been strange," said Greene coach Rick Tallman. "I am excited about my young players coming up through."

While the scoreboard reflected just a two-goal margin of victory, Greene's game-ending statistics reflected much more dominance.

Greene held a 24-3 advantage in shots on goal, and didn't allow the Bears a single second-half shot attempt on goal.

A-H's Damien Terrell scored unassisted with 34 minutes left in the opening half.  From there, it was all Greene.
