Girls’ soccer: Greene surges in the second half
GREENE – After a dormant first half, Greene’s offense came alive in the second half.
The Trojans scored all of their goals in the final 40 minutes, and dispatched Walton, 3-1, on Wednesday night at George Raymond Field.
Cassie Butler scored the tying goal for Greene at 32:10, less than a minute after Walton grabbed the 1-0 lead.
Less than seven minutes later, Cali Knapp had the go-ahead goal for Greene. Butler added an insurance goal - on Greene’s last shot on goal - with 13 1/2 minutes remaining.

OXFORD - Unadilla Valley’s soccer team did most of its scoring early in each half.
The Storm scored both first-half goals in the game’s opening five minutes, and tallied a third goal five minutes into the second half en route to a 4-0 shutout win over Oxford on Wednesday.
Kadence York scored two goals for the second straight game to lead the UV attack.
Paige Catena had the opening goal for the Storm less than three minutes in, and York followed two minutes later to create the quick two-goal advantage.
