NORWICH - Norwich-based accounting firm Cwynar, Farrow, and Locke has moved from 12 South Broad Street to 43 South Broad Street.

Firm partner Steve Locke said they decided to change locations due to their previous office being too small and not easily accessible.

“So we wanted to remain kind of centrally located right here in the city. But we wanted more space and in our previous office we were on the second floor and the stairs were kind of hard for a lot of our clients. So we knew we wanted something that was ground floor with easy access, and this was perfect,” said Locke.

The accounting firm is staffed with three licensed CPAs, Stan Cwynar, Dan Farrow, and Steve Locke, as well as four accounting and clerical staff members. They offer assistance with business and individual tax returns, government audits, non-profit audits, bookkeeping, and more according to Locke.

Their new offices provide not only easier access and more space, but also individual offices they plan to rent out to residents who are working from home and looking to return to an office setting, said firm partner Stan Cwynar.

Cwynar also explained the emphasis they put on safety and security. He said their office utilizes local back-ups, servers, and several security measures to keep their information safe.

“We’re big on security,” said Cwynar. “Our data is safe.”

He also stated they plan to upgrade their software in the near future, to make their operations “even more efficient.”

Locke stated he hopes that their new location will bring in more business, and make it easier for clients to find them.

“At our old office we were kind of tucked away, we had a doorway that had a sign but it wasn’t really noticeable,” said Locke. “So I think there’s definitely more exposure here and we’re just a little bit easier to find.”

The offices of Cwynar, Farrow, and Locke are located at the back end of the Ameriprise building. Locke stated they hope to install their own door at the back of the building for easier access sometime in the future.

“It’s still kind of up in the air a little bit,” said Locke. “But it would be nice to have our own separate entrance that is just designated for Cwynar, Farrow, and Locke.”

For now, clients who wish to access their offices may use the Ameriprise door at the front of the building, located at 43 South Broad Street in Norwich.
