Blues Fest weekend kicks off

NORWICH — Chenango Blues Fest weekend kicked off Thursday, August 19, with two performances as part of the ongoing NBT Bank Summer Concert Series.

Local musician Nate Gross opened for award-winning performer Shemekia Copeland. Music fans packed East Park and to enjoy the tunes and tasty eats from Hubcab Munchies, Naan Ya' Business, and Brake from the Grind.

The Chenango Blues Fest will begin Friday, August 20, at the Chenango County Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, August 21, the festival will be in full swing and performances will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Tune in next week for National Reserve, performing in East Park in Norwich.
