NORWICH - In a renewal of a long-dormant rivalry, Norwich opened its 2021 fall sports season with a three-touchdown victory over Chenango County rival Sherburne-Earlville on Saturday night.
Norwich led 27-0 through three quarters before the Marauders broke up the shutout scoring in the game’s final minute.
Mallachi Gaters had two TD runs for Norwich, and Torin Lawrence threw a pair of TD passes for the Tornado.
Derick Miller scored on a two-yard TD run for S-E with 41 seconds left in the game.
