GUILFORD – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office released information Tuesday afternoon about the fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred Monday in Guilford.

Another driver, 23-year-old Rachel A. Feyh of Sidney, was trapped in her vehicle before being freed and airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she was listed in critical but stable condition.

Chenango County Sheriff Ernest Cutting said, on September 13 the Chenango County 911 Center received a call of a two-car motor vehicle accident on County Road 36 near the intersection of County Road 37 in the Township of Guilford that resulted in one fatality.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division, Detectives Division and Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to render aid to the operators of the vehicles.

While responding to the scene, one of the vehicles involved became engulfed in flames.
