Norwich fires low team score of the season on senior recognition day

NORTH NORWICH - Norwich recognized outgoing seniors Nate Revoir and Logan Ford, and proceeded to its lowest team score of the season beating Chenango Valley, 231-249, at Canasawacta Country Club on Thursday.
Julien Smith and Aidan Stafford - both underclassmen for Norwich - fired their low rounds of the young season. Smith and Stafford each had 43s to top the Purple Tornado.
Jacob Morris carded a steady 45, and Jacob Dowdall also broke 50 shooting a 48 in the victory.
“This is definitely a look at what the future holds for the Purple Tornado,” said Norwich coach David Branham.
Dowdall’s solid performance, Branham said, was highlighted by a birdie on the opening hole. Norwich’s overall record improved to 3-3 overall.
