SMYRNA — The Wolf Mountain Nature Center held a "Spirit of the Wolf" festival on October 10, where visitors were invited to fill pumpkins with treats for the animals, and watch as caretakers fed them.

In addition to their own animals, the Spirit of the Wolf festival also hosted the Sled Dogs of Smokey Hill, a sled team out of Warren Center, PA, Native American crafts and stories, food vendors, a NYS DEC K9 demonstration, and magician Jim Okey.

Wolf Mountain also offers tours to see their wolves, arctic foxes, and coyotes, as well as nature trails, a picnic area, and a gift shop. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, the center's main focus is on advocacy for the animals and public education.
