Cyclones 'A Team' advances to league championship game

NORWICH -The Norwich Cyclones A Team continued its dominant winning ways advancing to the STYFC championship game.
The Cyclones hosted Union-Endicott on Sunday, the second meeting in three weeks between the two clubs, and jumped out to a 22-6 halftime lead.
Norwich's defense remained stout over the final two quarters holding U-E scoreless en route to a 28-6 victory.
The victory moved the Cyclones into the STYFC championship game this Saturday at Candor High School when they face Maine-Endwell. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
The Cyclones Flag team, featuring first- and second-graders, saw a banner first season come to a close in a 32-6 loss to Vestal last weekend.
The coaching staff commented on the hard play of the youngsters on the Flag team, who made some "noise" in the playoffs.
