Norwich XC at STAC Championships

ONEONTA – Norwich senior Makaio Sutton continued his stellar senior campaign with his 32nd place finish out of 124 runners at the Southern Tier Athletic Conference championships held Saturday October 22nd at Fortin Park in Oneonta. Sutton posted a time of 18:01.2 to lead the Tornado harriers.
Tornado junior Zander Sutton placed 85th in a time of 19:39 on the predominantly flat 5000 meter course. Younger brother Caden Sutton finished fifteen spots behind placing 100th in a time of 20:51.7, rounding out the finishers for the Purple boys’ varsity contingent.
In the girls’ varsity race, Norwich freshman Kyra Brunick-Davis finished the 5000m race in a time of 28:36.2, placing 83rd for the Tornado. Norwich senior Robyn Diehl finished just three spots back, placing 86th in a time of 29:24.9.
Norwich is back in action on Thursday November 4th when they travel to Chenango Valley State Park for the Section IV State Qualifier meet.
