NORWICH – New York State Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy visited Chenango County on Monday to discuss some of the issues regarding the upcoming election.
According to Chenango County Republican Chairman Robert Brooks, one of the main issues discussed by Langworthy was the series of proposed amendments on this year’s ballot.
“We are deeply honored by the visit of NYS GOP Chairman Nick Langworthy to Chenango County,” said Brooks. “It highlights the importance of upstate votes when it comes to changing the direction of New York State.”
“If you disagree with the direction of our state, specifically the soft stance on crime, then vote ‘no’ on all the propositions.”
Brooks said the state chairman’s visit highlighted the dangers of the proposed amendments. He added that it’s important people get out and vote.
“Once again, downstate New York’s liberal Democrats are seeking to undermine the voting rights of rural Upstate residents,” he said. “Please join us by voting ‘no’ next Tuesday.”
