COVID-19 Update for Chenango County

CHENANGO COUNTY – As of Tuesday there are 248 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, 81 of which are vaccinated, and ten individuals are currently hospitalized, none of which are vaccinated.

The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 6,539 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.

There have been 92 confirmed deaths.

The health department also confirmed there are 431 residents under quarantine, and 6,443 total recoveries.

So far approximately 176,938 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.

The Chenango County Department of Health will be holding a Janssen and Moderna booster clinic on Thursday, December 30 at the South Plaza clinic site in Norwich. Appointments can be made on the health department website, www.co.chenango.ny.us/public-health, by clicking the COVID-19 vaccine and scheduling button.

Pfizer boosters for children 16 and older will be offered by the health department beginning in January 2022.
