Boys' Basketball: Oriskany 63, Otselic Valley 33

ORISKANY — Otselic Valley's run to the Section III playoffs ended with a first-round tournament exit as Oriskany's first half offense put the Vikes on their heels from    the outset.
Ty Zizzi was 3-for-3 from behind the three-point arc in the opening half, and Oriskany made six 3s in the opening two quarters to compile a 41-12 lead.
"This was a great season for the boys," said OV coach Jake Preston. "It's been seven years since we made sections, and these boys earned it winning so many close games to make it happen."
Braeden Davis scored 22 points to lead OV (12-9).

DEPOSIT – Deposit-Hancock made up a six-point halftime deficit to Bainbridge-Guilford (9-11) eking out a two-point lead in Thursday's tuneup before Section IV tournament play.
Wyatt Jacobs and Christian Alderman made 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch to secure the Eagles' victory.
"We were down two starters, but we had a game plan to try and limit their top three scorers," said B-G coach Kevin Wehrli. "We executed the game plan to perfection. We just didn't score enough points."
David Emerson scored 15 for B-G, all of those coming in the first half when the Bobcats took a 23-17 lead into halftime.
B-G plays at Candor on Wednesday in the first round of the Section IV playoffs.
