OXFORD — Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29, the Fort Hill American Legion is proud to present singer-guitarist Mike Mullenax. His friendly down-to-Earth nature with audiences has made him a local favorite at live venues.

Mike is the son of Cynthia and Michael W. Mullenax Jr., a US Army veteran of the Lebanon/Grenada-era war. He grew up in Greene, NY, but deep down, his heart is southern. From a young age, Mike nurtured his passion for country and rock music. Playing guitar was his creative outlet.

Now he sings and plays everything from old outlaw country, southern rock, classic rock, 90’s alternative rock, and some modern country. It's a well-rounded, pleasing mix of covers spanning the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Eagles to Nirvana and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

“I play a lot of stuff you don't hear every day on the radio," Mike said of his selections. “But I also play a lot of crowd favorites, and sing-along songs that everyone knows.”

All are welcome, no cover charge. Mike’s set is from 7 to 10 p.m., but come early and relax.

Post 376 is located at 17 South Washington Avenue, with parking in the rear on Route 12. For further information, call (607) 843-8166 or visit OxfordLegion.com.
