UV/GMU Softball shutout by Deposit-Hancock

NEW BERLIN- The UV/GMU Storm softball team suffered a 19-0 loss to the visting Deposit-Hancock on Monday.

Deposit-Hancock's Kaitlyn Macumber earned the victory in the no-hitter and struck out 15 batters. She also went 2-for-5 at the plate with a single and a home run.

Behind Macumber, Zoe Gifford and Rylee Smith also had home runs while Paige Macumber scored three runs and got on base with a double.

UV/GMU's Piper Kneale took the loss while Hannah Bonczkowski and Ava Rowe pitched in relief.

UV/GMU softball looks to bounce back as they will travel to Sidney on Wednesday.
