MARATHON – On May 23, the Norwich Purple Tornado and the combined Unadilla Valley/Morris/GMU golf teams participated in the Section IV Class C golf tournament held at Maple Hill Golf Course. Norwich finished in fourth place with 474 points and the Storm took seventh with 481 points. Lansing scored the lowest with 438 to win first place.

Norwich's top medalist was Jacob Morris, who finished with an 89 on the day. He placed ninth overall behind Chenango Forks’ Trevor Warpus’ 78. Braden Reid shot a 92 while teammate Jacob Dowdall finished with a 93 to round out the top golfers for Norwich.

For UV/Morris/GMU, Scott Murphy shot a 91 ahead of teammate Drew Emich’s 97. Devon Harwell and Owen Hill both finished with a 98.
