GOLF: Greene defeats Oxford in the first MAC match of 2022

OXFORD – On Monday, the Oxford Blackhawks golf team hosted Greene at the Bluestone golf course, where Greene took the 235-248 win. This was the first match of the 2022 season for both teams, who will play each other twice by the end of the fall.
Greene’s Parker Flanagan led all the golfers with an impressive 37 on the par-34 course while Kyle Benjamin finished with a 43 to be the top golfer for Oxford.
Aside from the top medalists, Greene saw Lincoln Youngs achieve a 42 behind Flanagan while Oxford’s Bennett Paden shot a 44 on the day.
Oxford travels to Delhi on Wednesday as Greene heads to Harpursville to take on Afton/Harpursville. Both tee offs are scheduled for 10 a.m.
