NORWICH – In the first game of the 2022 season, the Norwich Girls Varsity Soccer team fell 4-2 against Seton Catholic. Both teams battled in the first 20 minutes of the first half before Norwich’s Sarah Davis took control and scored two goals within five minutes of each other. While that was all for Norwich, it was pretty impressive for the senior. Fellow senior goalkeeper Brianne Miner made 15 saves in the loss.
“Miner and Davis both did great, but our defensive line got tired and Seton was able to make some great shots,” Coach McShane said.
Norwich will be competing in the Sherburne-Earlville Soccer Tournament over Labor Day Weekend with their first game against Hamilton on Friday at 3 p.m.
