Norwich Golf captures third win of the season

WINDSOR – The Norwich Varsity Golf team traveled to Windsor on Thursday, where they earned a 239-252 victory. Marking their third win of the season thus far with a record of 3-1.
In the fifth match of the season, Norwich saw sophomore Julien Smith finish as their top medalist after shooting a 44 on the day. For Windsor, Gaven Lang had the lowest with a 46.
Behind Smith, Aiden Stafford chipped in a 45 and Jacob Morris shot a 46 on the par-35 course. Jacob Dowdall and Matthew Brunick, who got the nod to be number six, both tied with a 52.
Norwich’s scores remain consistent, ranging from 44 to 52. Something Coach Branham likes to see, especially from his young team.
Norwich’s next match will be Wednesday September 7 in Union-Endicott at 4 p.m. on the Enjoie Golf Course.
