FIELD HOCKEY: Greene shut out by tough Whitney Point

GREENE– Whitney Point is a team that everyone in Section IV dreads playing and Greene had to face them in the second match of the season, suffering a 2-0 loss.
Whitney Point was held to just two shots on goal but Genevieve Huston was able to convert those two shots into goals against goalie Natalie Scofield. Scofield made six saves in the loss.
Greene had a great chance with 11 shots on goal with 13 penalty corners but did not have any luck against a strong Laci Gates.
Greene will travel to Vestal on Friday evening with a 5 p.m. start.
