BOYS SOCCER: Otselic Valley goes even in last two games

OTSELIC VALLEY – The Otselic Valley Vikings started its 2022 season on Friday afternoon with a win over Brookfield 4-1. For the Vikings, they had 11 confident players suited up.
Braeden Davis opened up the scoring for the Vikings, followed by Owen Davis scoring on an assist from Kevin Purtell. Owen Davis was not done. He scored his second goal of the game off a pass from Ryatt Bilodeau. Brandon Blanco also scored a goal in the win. Goalie Caleb Loomis made three saves.
In their second game of the season on Monday, OV played with 10 players and suffered a 6-2 loss to Madison. Owen Davis and Brandon Blanco both scored a goal with an assist by Braeden Davis. Loomis made 18 saves in the loss.
“This was a tough game for us since we only had 10 players,” coach Jacob Preston said. “However, the boys stepped up their play in the second half scoring two goals even down a player (9). Looking forward to the next time we can play them with a full crew.”
