Oneonta troopers respond to fatal one-vehicle crash
OTEGO – On Monday, September 19, New York State Police at Oneonta responded to a serious one-vehicle crash on County Highway 7 in the Town of Otego.
An investigation at the scene revealed that the operator and only occupant of a Hyundai Elantra was traveling north on County Highway 7 when she exited the roadway and struck a tree. The driver is identified as Jennifer M. Thayer, age 45 of Otego, NY.
Thayer was transported to A.O. Fox Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Troopers were assisted by Otego EMS, Otsego County EMS and the Otsego County Coroner.
