GOLF: Greene keeps on rolling with a win over Oxford

GREENE – The Greene Trojans golf team earned their eighth win of the season after defeating Oxford 218-257. This win was Greene’s fourth in a row after taking down Hancock twice, Afton/Harpursville, and now Oxford.
Parker Flanagan led the way for the Trojans after finishing with a 39. Trent Drew looked impressive after chipping in a 43 with Lincoln Youngs behind him with a 44. Clayton Leonard and Austin Dehaan both shot a 46 on the day to round out the scoring.
For the Blackhawks, Bennett Paden had the team-best with a 48. Sylas Emerson chipped in a 50 while Degan Endress shot a 51. Kyle Benjamin finished with a 52 as Ethan Hodge ended the day with a 56.
Greene will have extra time to prepare as they travel to Bainbridge-Guilford for a match on October 4 at 3:45 p.m. Oxford looks to bounce back as they take on Afton/Harpursville on September 28 at 4:30 p.m.
