GOLF: Norwich clinches division with win over Windsor

NORWICH – With wet weather in the midst, the Norwich Purple Tornado golf team played consistently well to earn a 233-264 win over Windsor. With this win, Norwich clinched the East division with a divisional record of 5-0.
Leading the way for Norwich was Jacob Morris who shot a 41. Behind him was Julien Smith and Logan Waters who both chipped in a 47. Aiden Stafford finished with a 48 as Jacob Dowdall shot a 50 for the day.
Dylan Terrell shot a team-best 47 for Windsor as his team came into the match 3-1.
Norwich will be home on Thursday for another divisional match against Oneonta, where they will honor seniors Logan Waters and Ethan Guzewich.
Results:
NHS (233): Jacob Morris 41, Logan Waters & Julien Smith 47, Aiden Stafford 48, Jacob Dowdall 50, Braden Reid (57-not used).
WCHS (264): Dylan Terrell 47, Gaven Lang 49, Andrew Munson & Carmine Dozoretz 53, Alex Medovich 62, Braden Wisnieski (72-not used).
