NHS Golf honors seniors with a victory over Oneonta

NORWICH – On Thursday, the Norwich golf team closed out the 2022 regular season with a 225-271 victory over Oneonta. It was the Purple Tornado’s lowest score this season. Norwich finished the season 6-0 in the East division and 9-2 overall.
Leading the way against Oneonta was Julien Smith with a 42 on the day. Aidan Gelbsman led the Yellow Jackets with a 44.
Behind Smith, Aiden Stafford shot a 45 while Logan Waters, Jacob Dowdall, and Braden Reid all finished with a 46. Jacob Morris had a strong day with chipping in a 51, but this was not counted towards the final scoring.
Logan Waters, along with fellow Senior Ethan Guzewich, were honored prior to the match for their commitment and dedication to the Norwich golf program.
Norwich heads to the Class B Tournament in Horseheads on Monday, October 3 before the STAC tournament in Elmira.
