Oxford Volleyball stays fierce against Unatego

UNATEGO – The Oxford Blackhawks volleyball team earned their sixth straight win, defeating Unatego in all three sets on Thursday.
Leading the way for the Blackhawks was Ava Benjamin, who continues to collect assists. Coming off a game with 20 assists, she picked up seven in the win vs Unatego. Teammate Mya-Rae Roys had three assists.
Jadyn Ruff finished with five aces as Elizabeth Knapp and Hailey Richardson each had four aces. Ruff, Richardson, and Quinnlin LaMonica each earned a kill. Madalyn Barrows had two kills.
Brianna Fowlston, Leah Oliver, Mirrah Stewart, along with Ruff, all contributed with a dig.
Oxford (6-0) heads into a very tough matchup against an undefeated Unadilla Valley team. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4 at 6 p.m. It will also be senior night.
