FIELD HOCKEY: Greene shutouts Newark Valley

NEWARK VALLEY — Over the weekend, the Greene Trojans field hockey team traveled to Newark Valley, coming out with a 2-0 shutout victory. It was the second time they’ve shutout the Cardinals this season.
Greene’s Nadia Brown scored both goals with Harlee Montgomery picking up an assist. The Trojans also had 14 shots on goal against Newark Valley.
Greene’s defense, along with goalies Natalie Scofield and Tatiana Wells, held the Cardinals to only two shots on goal. Newark Valley’s Sandy Vaughn saved 12 shots in the loss.
Greene hosts Maine-Endwell for the final regular season home game on Thursday. Greene has defeated the Spartans already this season (2-0). The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
