FIELD HOCKEY: Greene hosts the 2022 Barrows and Bromley Tournament

GREENE – Over the weekend, the Greene Trojans field hockey team hosted its 13th annual Nancy B Barrows and Nancy Bromley tournament. Whitney Point, Maine-Endwell, and Afton-Harpursville participated in the event.
Greene defeated Maine-Endwell in the opening game 3-0 as Josie Dutcher scored two goals and Nadia Brown scored one.
Greene lost to Whitney Point 6-0 in the tournament championship. Greene put up eight shots on goal, all saved by Eagles’ goalie Ashley Burg. Greene’s Natalie Scofield and Tatiana Wells made a combined eight saves on 14 shots in the loss.
Afton-Harpursville defeated M-E in the consolation game 6-1. Lilly Bagg and Miranda Schultz scored two goals each while Alexis Schultz and Adrianna Hartman scored one goal each. Kylee Noyes earned two assist and Cassidy Hoyt picked up one assist in the win.
After the tournament concluded, the All-Stars were announced.
Maine-Endwell’s Sophia Castaldo, Afton/Harpursville’s Cassidy Hoyt and Lilly Bagg, Greene’s Emma Rice and Payton Yahner, Whitney Point’s Brenna Bough, Genevieve Huston, Magdalena Jordan, and Victoria Peterson all received all-star honors.
