Farm Bureau annual meeting on October 26

CHENANGO COUNTY — The Chenango County Farm Bureau annual meeting date is set for October 26. The meeting will be held at Fred’s Inn, located on Rte. 12 in Norwich. Cowtails at 6:30 p.m. (networking) and dinner at 7 p.m.

Members, farmers, and legislators will be present to discuss the future of agriculture and how green energy is affecting production.

Guest Speaker - Lauren Williams Deputy Director of Public Policy at New York Farm Bureau. Lauren is responsible for directing and coordinating NYFB’s federal advocacy efforts including working with New York’s Congressional delegation and federal agencies.

Lauren will highlight a recent trip to Washington DC with some of the CCFB members to meet with legislators and staff on pressing agriculture issues: the 2023 Farm Bill, ag energy policy, agriculture labor, taxes, supply chain issues, trade regulation with the Canadian embassy, dairy, and other pressing topics.
