Volleyball: BG defeats Walton, but falls to Tioga

WALTON - On Monday evening, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats volleyball team defeated Walton 3-1 in the first round of sectionals. After falling short in the first game, BG played fiercely to earn the next three games to advance.
Leading the way for the Bobcats was Kaylynn Crandall who continued to dominate in assists. She collected 23 in the win. Teammate Jordyn Parsons earned 12 kills and 10 aces while MacKenzie Terebo had seven aces and Kaydence Brimmer picked up six kills and two blocks.
Katelynn Gregory led Walton with 15 digs, seven kills, four aces, and a block as Caroline Gorence had a team-high 10 kills and also had two blocks. Ella Rhinehart earned 10 assists while Natalie McClenon had 10 digs and Heidi Decker contributed with four aces in the loss.

On Tuesday, BG’s sectional run ended with a 3-0 loss to Tioga. The final game scores were 25-14, 25-11, and 25-15.
