GIRLS BASKETBALL: Norwich falls to Forks

CHENANGO FORKS – On Tuesday, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls traveled to Chenango Forks where they suffered a 64-42 loss. Both teams started out strong on a high note, but it was the Blue Devils with the overall advantage.
Emma Urgo led Norwich with 15 points, including six in the 17 point first quarter. She also scored seven in the final eight minutes in attempt of a late comeback.
Helena Willis’ 19 points and Maggie Warpus’ 17 points, along with a consistency from teammates, helped Forks get past Norwich. Willis also knocked down three three-point shots in the win.
Norwich hosts Windsor on Friday at 7:15 p.m. Weather permitting.
