Cub Scouts provide winter supplies for those in need
A few of the scouts and siblings admiring their work after enjoying a holiday party of community service, a holiday movie, and pizza from Nina’s Pizzeria! (Submitted photo)
NORWICH — At our last Cub Scout meeting, we packed 100 ZipLoc bags of gloves, mittens, scarves, socks, etc. for anyone needing them to keep warm in the community. Another successful community service completed for Pack 62 in Norwich!
On Saturday, December 17, they were distributed by Mr. George Brown, Assistant Cubmaster and Den Leader at the bus terminal near the court house, the parks including Borden town, across from McDonald's, behind the library, and benches throughout Norwich. If you see them while walking throughout town or sitting at the bus stop, please feel free to take them to stay warm.
We also want to welcome new members that are in kindergarten through fifth grade. Come to a meeting before signing up! We meet Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Find us on Facebook to connect for more information and exact dates we are meeting, search Cub Scouts - Pack 0062.
A huge thank you to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, whom allow us to use their Parish Hall to host our meetings and projects, like the above community service.
We look forward to seeing you and your future Cub Scout at our next Cub Scout meeting on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 6 to 7 p.m.
