GREENE – The Greene Trojans hosted the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats in a highly anticipated MAC league game. Both teams came into the matchup with one conference win under their belt.
It was also a great matchup to watch between starting players. James Hogroian for the Bobcats and Jaden Eroshevich for the Trojans have been leading their teams to start the regular season.
With uncertainty of who would come out on top of this game, Greene provided themselves worthy with a 59-34 win.
Greene started out hot with 25 points scored in the first quarter before letting B-G catch up rather slowly. Jaden Eroshevich and Joel Vielandi were dynamic on offense. Eroshevich scored a team-high of 24 points while Vielandi finished with 17.
Hogroian was contained for most of the game, but still posted double-digit scoring with 16 points. Most of B-G’s points, especially in the second quarter alone, were free-throws as both teams were in foul trouble early on.
